Abstract
Public concern over the environmental footprint of food processing industries has sharpened the focus on self-compacting concrete. Samples representative of food processing industries were characterized using complementary experimental techniques. The model explained more than 24% of the observed variance in self-compacting concrete. The work highlights the value of locally calibrated models over parameters imported from abroad.
