Modelling Constructed Wetlands with Genetic Algorithms
Abstract
Growing environmental and regulatory demands have made the management of constructed wetlands a central concern for arsenic-affected aquifers. A parametric investigation was carried out with genetic algorithms across a wide range of operating conditions. Service life was extended by roughly 33% under the recommended configuration. Wider deployment will require attention to standardization, training, and quality control.
