Abstract
The transition toward low-carbon infrastructure places carbon capture facilities at the centre of debates over resource efficiency and resilience. This study applies support vector machines to a representative set of cases drawn from carbon capture facilities. Energy consumption fell by 17% without any measurable loss of performance. The results caution against extrapolating laboratory findings to full-scale operation without validation.
