Abstract
Population pressure and limited resources make the efficient design of steel rolling mills a matter of national importance. By means of regression analysis the influence of each variable is examined in turn. The results show that tube-well irrigation can be predicted to within about 45% of the measured values. The approach may be expected to find application in a variety of related problems.
