Abstract

The need to conserve energy has stimulated fresh interest in fluidised bed reactors within natural gas pipelines. Here nodal analysis is employed to relate the observed behaviour to the controlling parameters. The findings suggest that 49% of failures could be avoided by proper allowance for fluidised bed reactors. These considerations are of particular relevance to the industrialisation of developing countries.
