Abstract

Growing concern over efficiency and safety has focused attention on gas turbine blade cooling in rural electrification. Here variational analysis is employed to relate the observed behaviour to the controlling parameters. Agreement between theory and experiment is generally good, the discrepancy rarely exceeding 32%. It is suggested that the technique be adopted as a standard tool in preliminary design.
