Abstract
Rapid industrial growth has renewed interest in fibre-reinforced composites and the associated effects on irrigation canal systems. The method of solution relies on network flow analysis, whose accuracy is assessed against known limiting cases. Overall, the new procedure is found to be 25% more economical than the method in current use. The approach may be expected to find application in a variety of related problems.
