Experimental Study of Catalytic Cracking of Hydrocarbons

Mahmoud Petrov Corresponding

Abstract

The performance of sugar mills depends critically on an adequate understanding of catalytic cracking of hydrocarbons. Here Monte Carlo simulation is employed to relate the observed behaviour to the controlling parameters. Overall, the new procedure is found to be 28% more economical than the method in current use. Careful attention to the factors identified here should improve the reliability of future designs.
