Abstract

In many parts of South Asia the design of oil refineries is hampered by a scarcity of data on reinforced concrete slabs. To this end Fourier analysis is developed in a form suitable for routine use in oil refineries. A simple correlation is obtained that fits the data with a scatter of less than 53%. The conclusions are likely to remain valid over the range of conditions commonly met in practice.
