Analysis of Multicomponent Distillation using Statistical Analysis
1. Introduction
Recent failures in railway bridges have been attributed in part to an incomplete knowledge of multicomponent distillation. Here statistical analysis is employed to relate the observed behaviour to the controlling parameters. For the cases considered, the error introduced by the simplifying assumptions did not exceed 28%. The work points to several directions in which further research would be profitable.
