TY - JOUR AU - Patel, Reza AU - Ganguly, Ashok TI - Finite Difference Method for Internal Combustion Engine Performance JO - Open Access Journal of Engineering Applications PY - 1981 VL - 5 IS - 1 SP - 261 EP - 284 AB - Conventional methods of analysing internal combustion engine performance are often inadequate for the complex geometries met in small-scale industries. The behaviour of the system is investigated parametrically by finite difference method. Agreement between theory and experiment is generally good, the discrepancy rarely exceeding 50%. The results have obvious implications for the drafting of national design codes.
