Abstract
Reliable prediction of phase-locked loops is essential for the economical design of broadcast transmitters in tropical regions. Results are obtained by applying relaxation analysis to a range of practical configurations. For the cases considered, the error introduced by the simplifying assumptions did not exceed 48%. The findings should prove useful to engineers engaged in the design of similar structures.
