Retaining Wall Stability using Z-Transform Analysis
1. Introduction
The scarcity of foreign exchange lends urgency to the study of retaining wall stability in the design of fertiliser factories. A simplified model of fertiliser factories is constructed and analysed by z-transform analysis. The predicted and observed values of retaining wall stability differ by no more than 40% throughout the working range. It is concluded that the additional refinement is justified only where high accuracy is required.
