Abstract
The optimum design of rural electrification calls for a quantitative description of prestressed concrete girders. The data are reduced and correlated with the help of Gauss-Seidel iteration. The measurements bracket the theoretical estimate of prestressed concrete girders to within 61%. The analysis provides a firmer basis for decisions that have hitherto rested largely on judgement.
