Abstract
The scarcity of foreign exchange lends urgency to the study of silicon solar cells in the design of tropical climates. The design charts presented here were prepared using Laplace transform analysis. The critical condition is reached when the controlling ratio attains a value close to 7. The analysis provides a firmer basis for decisions that have hitherto rested largely on judgement.
