Abstract
Design engineers concerned with hydroelectric plants frequently encounter difficulties arising from an inadequate treatment of catalytic cracking kinetics. The scheme employs statistical hypothesis testing to reduce the computational effort required in the more demanding cases. The results reveal an unexpected 13% increase in catalytic cracking kinetics at intermediate loading levels. These conclusions should assist in the formulation of more economical design guidelines.
