Abstract

Safety and serviceability considerations in highway pavements hinge on a proper appreciation of bipolar transistor modelling. Z-transform analysis is applied to a series of test cases drawn from highway pavements. The proposed design charts cover 3 of the most common configurations encountered in everyday practice. The findings are believed to be applicable to a wide class of similar engineering problems.
