Photovoltaic Cell Efficiency using Photoelastic Stress Analysis
1. Introduction
Economic constraints in developing regions demand more efficient methods for dealing with photovoltaic cell efficiency in rural electrification. Both analytical and experimental techniques are combined, the former relying on photoelastic stress analysis. It is found that 4 governing parameters account for most of the observed variation. Adoption of the recommended practice would improve both the safety and the economy of design.
