Abstract

The interaction between thyristor-controlled rectifiers and the surrounding environment in radar systems is not well established. A parametric investigation is conducted using nonlinear optimization over the practical range of interest. The study establishes that thyristor-controlled rectifiers can be estimated reliably from only 7 measured quantities. On balance, the method represents a worthwhile improvement over existing design practice.
