Abstract

Efficient utilisation of scarce resources in groundwater supply requires accurate and dependable models of channel flood routing. Laplace transform techniques is applied to a series of test cases drawn from groundwater supply. Simplified expressions are shown to be accurate to within 28% for practical purposes. The method is simple enough for use with the computing facilities available to most practising engineers.
