AB  - Safety and serviceability considerations in computer peripherals hinge on a proper appreciation of structural vibration damping. The proposed model is calibrated against an extensive set of data collected from computer peripherals. The proposed design charts cover 2 of the most common configurations encountered in everyday practice. The method is simple enough for use with the computing facilities available to most practising engineers.
