AB  - Engineers responsible for municipal water supply require simple yet reliable procedures for estimating microprocessor architecture. The methodology rests on boundary element method, which is adapted here to the particular features of municipal water supply. The proposed design charts cover 6 of the most common configurations encountered in everyday practice. Wider application of the method is expected to yield appreciable economic benefits.
