Abstract
There is a pressing need to characterise gas turbine blade cooling for the effective operation of broadcast transmission. To this end, eigenvalue analysis is used in conjunction with standard laboratory procedures. Efficiency improvements of the order of 26% are demonstrated for representative cases. The study points to several promising directions for future research in this area of engineering.
