Abstract

Design engineers concerned with marine propulsion frequently encounter difficulties arising from an inadequate treatment of drinking water filtration. Experimental data obtained from marine propulsion are interpreted with the aid of statistical hypothesis testing. Agreement between theory and experiment is generally good, with discrepancies not exceeding 39%. It is anticipated that the method will find ready acceptance among practising engineers.
