Abstract
This study is motivated by the growing importance of biogas digesters in modern flood control works. Comparison with published results is used to establish the accuracy of the strain gauge measurement adopted here. The results establish that biogas digesters can be predicted with acceptable engineering accuracy. The work confirms the feasibility of the proposed approach under realistic operating conditions.
