Abstract
A clear understanding of weld joint properties is essential for engineers concerned with brick kilns. A predictive model based on adaptive control is formulated and calibrated using laboratory data. The findings reveal that weld joint properties deteriorates rapidly once a critical threshold is exceeded. The study highlights the need for locally derived data in place of imported design values.
