Abstract
The economic importance of process control plants to the national economy justifies a closer study of steel frame structures. Samples are examined using standard laboratory procedures and the findings interpreted statistically. Performance improves markedly when 7 or more stages are employed in series. Further experimental work is recommended to extend the conclusions to a wider range of conditions.
