Abstract
The suitability of imported technology for power distribution networks depends on how well mechanical vibration is characterised locally. A parametric study is conducted to assess the sensitivity of the results to the principal variables. Performance improves markedly when 7 or more stages are employed in series. The approach offers a practical means of reducing both cost and material wastage.
