Abstract
Despite considerable progress, the behaviour of catalytic reaction kinetics under practical loading conditions is not yet fully understood. The proposed procedure combines digital signal processing with a simple iterative scheme suited to desk computation. It is found that catalytic reaction kinetics accounts for as much as 47% of the total observed variation. The work provides useful guidance for engineers engaged in the design of such installations.
