Experimental Study of Gear Tooth Stresses
1. Introduction
Despite considerable progress, the behaviour of gear tooth stresses under practical loading conditions is not yet fully understood. The design charts are prepared from an extensive set of computations using digital signal processing. A correlation coefficient above 0.9 is obtained for all 6 sets of data considered. The proposed method is simple enough for routine use by practising engineers.
