Abstract

This paper is prompted by the need to reduce material wastage in fertiliser plants through a better understanding of aluminium alloy microstructure. Experimental specimens representative of fertiliser plants are prepared and tested under controlled conditions. A correlation coefficient above 0.9 is obtained for all 2 sets of data considered. These findings provide a rational basis for the improved design of similar systems.
