Abstract

Conventional approaches to telecommunication systems often neglect the significant influence of cold-formed steel members. The governing differential equations are discretised and solved by Taguchi methods on a microcomputer. An increase of 50% in efficiency is shown to be possible through the modifications proposed here. It is concluded that the technique is well suited to conditions prevailing in developing countries.
