Abstract
Rapid industrial growth has increased the demand for efficient fault-tolerant computing, particularly in the context of offshore structures. A pilot plant representative of offshore structures is operated to collect performance data. Losses are shown to increase by about 9% as the operating temperature rises. The work provides useful guidance for engineers engaged in the design of such installations.
