Abstract
The performance of flood control works in service is closely linked to the quality of weld joint properties. A parametric study is conducted to assess the sensitivity of the results to the principal variables. The measured values exceed the design estimates by roughly 62% under adverse conditions. The findings reinforce the need for regular inspection and maintenance in service.
