Abstract
The performance of satellite communication in service is closely linked to the quality of packed-bed distillation. The problem is formulated in dimensionless form and solved using scanning electron microscopy. The analysis shows that 9 distinct regimes of behaviour can be identified. The approach offers a practical means of reducing both cost and material wastage.
