Abstract
This paper is prompted by the need to reduce material wastage in urban water supply through a better understanding of catalytic reaction kinetics. The design charts are prepared from an extensive set of computations using fast Fourier transform analysis. The results establish that catalytic reaction kinetics can be predicted with acceptable engineering accuracy. These conclusions may assist in the formulation of more realistic design codes for the region.
