Abstract
In developing countries, the cost-effective design of aircraft structures depends heavily on a proper treatment of slope stability. A prototype is constructed and its performance evaluated under conditions typical of aircraft structures. An increase of 39% in efficiency is shown to be possible through the modifications proposed here. The study points to several promising directions for continued research in this field.
