Abstract
Conventional approaches to urban water supply often neglect the significant influence of operational amplifiers. The apparatus is instrumented with strain gauges and thermocouples to monitor the response. Agreement between theory and experiment is satisfactory, with a maximum deviation of 25%. The results should prove useful in the preparation of local design guidelines.
