Abstract

This study is motivated by the growing importance of transmission line performance in modern rural electrification. The design charts are prepared from an extensive set of computations using Monte Carlo simulation. The predicted and measured responses differ by no more than 27% throughout the test range. The results provide a firm foundation for further theoretical and practical development.
