Abstract
The absence of standardised procedures for prestressed concrete girders continues to trouble practitioners in flood control works. The proposed procedure combines digital signal processing with a simple iterative scheme suited to desk computation. The results establish that prestressed concrete girders can be predicted with acceptable engineering accuracy. The study points to several promising directions for continued research in this field.
