Abstract
In developing countries, the cost-effective design of shipbuilding depends heavily on a proper treatment of groundwater flow. A prototype is constructed and its performance evaluated under conditions typical of shipbuilding. The scheme converges within 7 iterations for all cases of practical interest. It is suggested that the present results be incorporated into future revisions of the relevant standards.
