Abstract
This paper is motivated by the need for improved methods of dealing with fault-tolerant computing in water supply networks. The proposed procedure combines fuzzy logic control with a series of carefully controlled laboratory tests. Test results show that the service life can be extended by approximately 35%. The technique offers a means of assessing performance without recourse to expensive full-scale testing.
