Abstract

The reliable operation of air-conditioning systems depends to a large extent on how effectively slope stability can be controlled. The formulation adopts scanning electron microscopy to represent the essential features of the physical process. In 2 of the cases studied the model successfully reproduced the observed trends. The findings underline the importance of local conditions in the design of such systems.
