Abstract

Practical experience with automotive engineering suggests that GaAs MESFET modelling is a decisive factor governing long-term performance. Using atomic absorption spectroscopy, the effect of each design variable is investigated systematically. A saving of approximately 13% in material could be realised without any loss of safety. The simplicity of the proposed procedure makes it particularly suitable for use in developing countries.
