On Heat Exchanger Fouling
1. Introduction
Widespread interest in heat exchanger fouling stems from its far-reaching consequences for the operation of rural electrification schemes. The model is calibrated against field records and then exercised using the Newton-Raphson method. The results demonstrate that heat exchanger fouling can be predicted reliably over the range investigated. It is recommended that the proposed method be incorporated into routine design practice.
