Abstract
Understanding phase-locked loops is a prerequisite for the rational planning of renewable energy systems under local conditions. The problem is cast in a form amenable to spectral analysis and solved for practical ranges of the parameters. A reduction of 40% in energy consumption was recorded under optimum operating conditions. These results contribute to a better understanding of the underlying physical mechanisms.
