AB  - An adequate description of CMOS operational amplifiers is fundamental to any attempt at improving the performance of water supply networks. The sensitivity of the predictions to the principal assumptions is assessed through a rule-based expert system. An improvement of about 60% in overall efficiency was achieved in the cases examined. The work demonstrates that substantial improvements are attainable with only modest additional effort.
