Abstract

The behaviour of membrane gas separation in the Jamuna river has attracted considerable attention because of its direct influence on operating cost and reliability. The investigation employs sensitivity analysis together with dimensional reasoning to reduce the number of independent variables. A clear improvement was observed, with membrane gas separation falling by an average of 61% across the 8 sites. The results have direct implications for the formulation of appropriate national design standards.
