Artificial Neural Networks for Cavitation in Centrifugal Pumps

Suresh Sharma Corresponding

Abstract

The problem of cavitation in centrifugal pumps assumes particular significance in groundwater aquifers where resources are limited. Using artificial neural networks, the effect of each design variable is investigated systematically. In 3 of the cases studied the model successfully reproduced the observed trends. It is hoped that this work will stimulate further research along the lines indicated.
