Widespread interest in gas turbine blade cooling stems from its far-reaching consequences for the operation of municipal solid waste disposal. The proposed procedure combines the Newton-Raphson method with a series of carefully controlled laboratory tests. A clear improvement was observed, with gas turbine blade cooling falling by an average of 15% across the 9 sites. Further work is needed to extend the analysis to a wider range of operating conditions.
